Little Colorado is a Green Company All finishes are water-based, low-VOC made by Sherwin Williams and other American manufacturers. Wood raw materials come from environmentally responsible suppliers. MDF used is manufactured by Plum Creek, and is certified green, CARB-compliant, and low-formaldehyde. All packing insulation is 100% post-consumer recycled. All shipping cartons are either 100% post-consumer recycled or are made of recycled cardboard.

Little Colorado is well known for high quality American made toy boxes. Every product is thoroughly tested for compliance with ASTM standards and the new Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act. These Treasure Chests ship partially assembled and include an American made safety lid support that prevents the lid from falling. The slatted curved top gives this keepsake piece a distinctive look. Made by hand of solid knotty pine and "green" MDF. Assembled with screws, glue and a continuous hinge to last a lifetime. Finished with a low VOC waterbased lacquer that is easy to clean.
